Reliability of 1.61 on Snow Leopard

Glenn, posted Feb 5th 2010 at 12:53AM

Have been using version 1.41 for a while now. Snow Leopard upgrade broke this as is well documented — I need to archive a directory and all it’s contents.

Now upgraded to 1.61 and bought a new licence as the demo mode didn’t work and I can’t find my old licence. I digress.

1.61 is very unreliable. It’s constantly crashing and doesn’t behave itself. Fortunately I still have the old 1.41 which doesn’t crash.

I assume I’m not the only one with this problem. When can I expect an upgrade to address the reliability issues?

If you’ve any questions, please email me.

Thanks,
Glenn

Hello Glenn,

Unfortunately, you weren’t much descriptive about the crashes you’ve mentioned, so I’m not able to help very much. What can cause problems is running version 1.4.x and 1.6.x at the same time as the preferences file format has changed between these two versions.

I’d gladly contact you via e-mail, but I don’t know your address and I’ve got more people called Glenn in purchases database. Can you please write your e-mail, or contact me directly on this e-mail address? Or we can continue this discussion here, if you prefer so.
