Registering Services

Isaac Dansicker, posted Feb 26th 2010 at 3:57PM

I have used Springy for a while and it’s been great! Last night, I did the upgrade to OS 10.6—and the Springy services are not in my Services menu or context.

Is there some way I can register this without having to re-install?

Hello Isaac,

Yes, there is a way. It’s explained in details here, read the Services Menu paragraph. I’ll shortly repeat the story.

Launch Springy application at least once (or you can logout/login, or reboot, but I assume just launching Springy is more quick and straightforward) and it will register its services with the system. Then, launch System Preferences app and go to System preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts > Services:
System Preferences for Services
In section “Files and Folders” you will see many new services provided by Springy. Check the one you want to use and off you go.

Once registered and enabled, Springy services will appear in the Services menu, contextual menu and Finder action button menu. More about it you can read here.
